Tum Tum, born Maurice "Tum Tum" Threets, is an American rapper and one of the pioneers of the Dallas, Texas hip-hop scene. He emerged in the early 2000s as part of the DSR (Dirty South Rydaz) crew, contributing to the rise of Southern hip-hop.
Tum Tum gained recognition with his mixtapes, including "Eat or Get Ate" and "Tumkraft: The Movement." His energetic flow, charismatic delivery, and distinct voice set him apart in the Dallas rap scene, and he became known for representing his city in his music.
In 2007, Tum Tum released his debut studio album, "Caprice Musik," which featured collaborations with fellow DSR members and other Southern rap artists. The album showcased his Southern roots, with tracks that celebrated the Dallas car culture and street life.
