2 Chainz, born Tauheed Epps on September 12, 1977, is an American rapper, songwriter, and media personality. Hailing from College Park, Georgia, 2 Chainz rose to prominence in the hip-hop scene with his distinctive style, witty lyrics, and charismatic persona.

Initially known as Tity Boi, 2 Chainz gained notable recognition as one half of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside childhood friend Dolla Boy. The duo released their debut album, "Supply & Demand," in 2007. However, it was 2 Chainz's solo career that catapulted him into mainstream success.

In 2011, 2 Chainz adopted his current moniker and released a mixtape titled "T.R.U. REALigion," which marked the beginning of his solo journey. The mixtape gained attention for its energetic flows and clever wordplay. His breakthrough moment came with the release of the single "No Lie" featuring Drake in 2012, which became a chart-topping hit.
