BIOGRAPHY

Average White Band (AWB) is a Scottish funk and R&B band formed in 1972. The band's lineup has changed over the years, but its original members included Alan Gorrie (vocals, bass), Hamish Stuart (vocals, guitar), Onnie McIntyre (guitar), Roger Ball (saxophone), Malcolm Duncan (saxophone), and Robbie McIntosh (drums).

AWB achieved commercial success in the 1970s with hits like "Pick Up the Pieces," "Cut the Cake," and "Let's Go Round Again." Their music is characterized by its tight, funky rhythms and soulful vocals. Despite various lineup changes and periods of inactivity, AWB has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to perform live.
