BIOGRAPHY
Public Announcement was formed in Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1980s. The original lineup consisted of members Feloney Davis, Glenn Wright, and Earl Robinson. The group initially went by the name "Prime Tyme" but later changed it to Public Announcement.
In 1992, Public Announcement caught the attention of R&B superstar R. Kelly, who became their mentor and producer. R. Kelly, known for his success as a solo artist, played a significant role in shaping the sound and style of Public Announcement.
The group's debut album, "Born into the '90s," was released in 1992 and featured R. Kelly as a lead vocalist alongside Public Announcement members. The album included the hit singles "She's Got That Vibe" and "Honey Love," both of which showcased the smooth harmonies and R&B stylings of the group.
