Dru Hill was formed in Baltimore, Maryland, in the early 1990s. The original members included Mark "Sisqó" Andrews, Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin, Larry "Jazz" Anthony, and James "Woody" Green. The group's name is derived from Druid Hill Park in Baltimore.
In 1996, Dru Hill released their self-titled debut album, which included the hit singles "Tell Me" and "In My Bed." The album showcased their distinctive blend of soulful R&B, harmonies, and innovative production. Their smooth ballads and uptempo tracks contributed to their appeal among R&B enthusiasts.
